Andrea Damp | The Light You are | 2023 | Öl und Acryl auf Leinwand | 130 x 250 cm

Tom Christopher captures the urban pulse of New York. His works go beyond cityscapes. They are energetic snapshots of motion, noise, and light. Amid the visual chaos, he creates portraits of a city that never stands still. Christopher distills observation and emotion into a painterly rhythm that pulls the viewer right in. A tribute to life in the city that never sleeps.

Tom Christopher (born 1952 in Hollywood, California) pursued studies in painting at Sonoma State University and at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Following early professional engagements with Disney and NBC, he relocated to New York City in 1981, where he contributed illustrations and design work for major media institutions including The New York Times and CBS. During the 1990s, Christopher achieved international acclaim for his expressive urban landscapes and monumental murals. Today, his oeuvre encompasses exhibitions and art projects worldwide, ranging from museum commissions and public installations to design collaborations with renowned brands such as Absolut Vodka and Ikepod.
