Johannes Ehemann, Lev Khesin und Rhea Standke | New Artists Show

Exhibition dates: June 11th to August 10th, 2026
We cordially invite you to the opening reception on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. The artists will be present on opening night.

The group exhibition New Artists Show brings together Johannes Ehemann, Lev Khesin, and Rhea Standke – three artists who unfold contemporary visual spaces that straddle material experimentation and imagination. Standke’s utopian, surreal-inspired floral worlds meet Khesin’s sensually vibrant silicone works, as well as Ehemann’s hybrid painting that bridges abstraction and photographic deconstruction. In their interplay, new perspectives on perception and the construction of reality emerge. The exhibition also marks their first presentation in the gallery’s program.

Andrea Damp | The Light You are | 2023 | Öl und Acryl auf Leinwand | 130 x 250 cm

Johannes Ehemann develops a unique blend of photography, abstract structure, and realistic painting. His work often begins with photographic snapshots, which he alters and translates into painterly forms. His works appear at once precise, spontaneous, and strikingly contemporary.

Lev Khesin works with unusual materials such as pigmented silicone. Layer by layer, he creates vibrant swaths of color and relief-like surfaces that shift in appearance depending on the light and viewing angle. His works impressively blend painting, sculpture, and experimentation with materials.

Rhea Standke creates vividly colored, poetic visual spaces. In her paintings, floral, organic, and crystalline forms unfold into luminous worlds brimming with movement and imagination. Her works invite viewers to immerse themselves in a nature that is both sensory and imaginary.
